No skin is protected against acne, and it can be really annoying, cause great discomfort and even turn into a serious skin problem. Thankfully, there are plenty of effective homemade face wash solutions that can help us treat acne and oily skin, prevent future problems and make our skin healthier.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Undoubtedly, apple cider vinegar is amongst the best products out there that will help you address acne problems, so it is a must in any face wash list out there. It will not only help you get rid of the annoying acne, but it will also mitigate the scarring effects that come with it. By mixing 1/2 cup organic honey, a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar, along with 10 drops of tea tree oil, you will create a simple yet extremely effective face wash for acne. All you have to do is apply a little bit of the solution on your face, massage it for a few minutes and gently wash your face after that.
Milk and Honey
You can make another great face wash for acne by mixing 2 teaspoons of raw milk with 1 teaspoon of honey. Stir until you get a homogeneous lotion, apply it evenly on your skin and gently massage it for 2 or 3 minutes. It would be best to wash your skin with warm water because of the honey. This recipe is a wonderful solution for sensitive skin.
Aloe Vera and Essential Oils
We’ve all heard of the absolutely amazing benefits of Aloe Vera, and it can certainly be an invaluable ally in your battle against the pesky acne. It will also help your skin heal, significantly improve its elasticity and keep it moisturized. A great combination includes a quarter cup of Aloe Vera gel, a teaspoon or two of sweet almond oil and a couple of drops of essential oil of your choice. You can mix these ingredients and transfer the face wash gel you get into a dispenser bottle. Note that for oily skin you should substitute oils with honey or oatmeal flour.
Believe it or not, egg whites can also help you reduce acne and the scars it leaves. They contain all the proteins and vitamins you need for a healthy skin, soak up excess sebum, and they are really affordable too! All you need is 2 or 3 egg whites with the yolks separated, whisk them until they become stiff, and apply them on your face for about 20 minutes. Next, wash your face and apply moisturizer if you feel your skin is too dry.
